Each state's school ranking page carries the payback calculator with that state's programs already loaded. Pick a program and the published cost and length fill themselves in, with a note telling you whether the figure is a program total, an annual figure scaled to program length, or not published at all. The pay field starts at your state's median and you adjust it to what you actually expect.

Compare licensing between two states
Every state licensing guide has a comparison selector partway down, so you can hold that state's requirements against any other we have published. It shows license type, issuing body, experience requirement, fee summary, renewal cycle, and median wage, exactly as published, with no scoring. Useful mainly if you are deciding where to build your experience years.
What these tools do and do not do
The payback calculator does one piece of arithmetic and shows its working. It does not model tax, take-home pay, living costs, aid, wage growth, or your odds of finishing. The comparison performs no computation and picks no winner. Where a school does not publish a program total, we ask you for the figure rather than assembling one from a per-credit rate, because a guess that looks precise is worse than an honest blank.
