Pass the Michigan Mechanical Contractor Exam the First Time
The only prep built around a true full-format simulation of the PSI exam: the real 150 questions, the real 3-hour clock, the real 75% bar. Every answer cites the code section or Michigan law it comes from, verified against the current PSI candidate bulletin, because the actual exam is open book and finding the section fast is the entire skill.

The full question bank is in its final verification pass. The pass or refund guarantee applies from day one.
Pass or refunded: fail within 90 days of purchase, show us your PSI score report, full refund.
Why this prep is different
Full-format simulation
Other prep serves practice in 35-question chunks. Ours reproduces the actual exam: 150 questions against a 3-hour clock for HVAC Equipment, and 55-question, 1-hour runs for the other classifications, scored at the real 75% bar with section diagnostics.
Every answer sourced
Each explanation names the code section or Michigan statute behind it. On an open-book exam, the citation is the instructor: you learn where answers live, which is exactly what the clock tests.
Verified current
Built and dated against the PSI Candidate Information Bulletin effective April 2026 and Michigan's own reference list, in a market where competitor bundles still mix code editions.
Lifetime access + guarantee
One purchase, permanent access link, unlimited attempts, every future update to this bank included, and a pass-or-refund guarantee.

What the Michigan exam actually looks like
Michigan tests each work classification separately through PSI, and most guides get this wrong. The flagship HVAC Equipment exam (covering ductwork and gas piping) runs 150 questions in 3 hours at $100. Most other classifications, Ductwork, Refrigeration, Hydronic, Fuel Gas Piping and more, run 55 questions in 1 hour at $50. Every exam requires 75%, and every exam embeds questions on Michigan law: the Skilled Trades Regulation Act and the Stille-Derossett-Hall Act. Most classifications are open book from the state's approved reference list, but the four Service classifications are closed book, a distinction that changes how you study. Retakes are unlimited inside your one-year eligibility window, but each attempt costs the full $100 again, per PSI's own booking page, so every failed attempt costs twice what this entire bank does. The exam is offered in English only, at test centers only, and PSI's center rules require arriving 30 minutes early with a valid ID and, if you bring one, a silent non-programmable calculator.
What's included
The interactive bank: practice by topic with instant feedback, or run the full simulation under the clock. Start and stop anytime, progress saved, works on your phone. The complete PDF: every question and sourced explanation, printable. The Michigan exam briefing: which classification you actually need, the current reference list decoded, what to buy versus skip against the $1,200 full book stack, the binding and marking rules PSI enforces at the door, and the test-day logistics from the current bulletin.
Questions before you buy
Is this the actual exam?
No, and be wary of anything claiming to be. These are original questions written from the same public sources the exam is built on: the codes and Michigan law. What we reproduce is the format, the length, the clock, and the passing bar, so nothing about exam day surprises you.
Which classification does this cover?
The bank centers on HVAC Equipment, the broadest exam, with the embedded Michigan law content every classification shares. The briefing maps all 14 classifications so you register for the right one.
How do I get access?
Instantly. Checkout takes a minute, you land back here unlocked, and your permanent access link works on any device, forever.
What if I fail?
Show us the PSI score report within 90 days of purchase and we refund you in full. And since Michigan allows unlimited retakes within your eligibility year, the bank stays with you for every attempt either way.
The full question bank is in its final verification pass. The pass or refund guarantee applies from day one.
